Remediation of Pasture Dieback Using Plant Growth Promotant

Pasture dieback is a syndrome of unknown cause affecting grasses in Australia, creating significant economic losses to farmers by reducing available livestock feed and paddock carrying capacity. RC3 commercial plant growth stimulant tri-sodium salt trimercapto-S-triazine (TMT) potassium humate as active ingredients. TMT commonly used for soil wastewater remediation capturing binding heavy metals, while an organic compound promoter. We investigated the ability restore health productivity under pasture conditions. was applied on affected replicate plots once, at rate 4 mL/m2, core samples were taken weekly analyse microbial communities. Plants collected regularly measure dry matter morphometrics. Twenty weeks after single application, increased 900 kg/ha compared control plots, week 48, eleven months showed trend more grass dicot species than control. Morphometric measures suggest minor improvements dicotyledon plants. Alpha diversity did not change with application RC3. Temporal correlation analysis shows that steadily reduced presence genera predominant poor soils extreme environmental conditions over time prevented decline beneficial genera, such Marmoricola, Actinomadura, Dactylosporangium, mle1-7.
